Cipla has been on an uptrend since it launched its first inhaler in Sweden and Germany. The company is on track to launch the inhaler in 10 other European countries in the next 12-18 months.
CEO Subhanu Saxena in a conversation with CNBC-TV18's Archana Shukla said the respiratory business has immense potential for the company.

"Europe is clearly the start of our journey in the international market. We are also getting approvals in many other rest of the world countries in our international division. We have a full program onto United States but as you know the regulatory timelines are long in the US. So we think we have said and that still three years or so away. Over the next five years you will see respiratory becoming a global business for Cipla," he said.
On asked how much has the respiratory business contributed to Cipla and how much he anticipates it to grow, Saxena said the business is probably less than 10 percent to what they have now. "I can see it becoming 20 percent of our business in the future," he added.
