After announcing her plans to invest Rs 33,000 crore in India by 2020 in an apparent show of solidarity to UPA, PepsiCo chairman and CEO Indira Nooyi on Friday said corporates need to reinvent themselves constantly. 

India-born Nooyi reiterated her stance that she remains hopeful about India's growth story. Her investment proposal, largest by any company in UPA's second innings, has come at a time when the government is  battling high inflation, insipid growth and desperately drawing attention to kick-start the economy.

Nooyi, aware of the hardships facing emerging economies like India, said one needs to accept that turbulence is here to stay and that "turbulance is the new normal." "Emerging markets play key role in growth of global companies," she said.
