As part of its ongoing marketing activities, Jet Airways has introduced a 'one fare pass' booklet which includes four coupons which can be used as tickets for travel in both premier and economy class for short haul distances which is less than 750 kms.
A premier class booklet costs Rs 49,216 which includes all taxes and an economy class booklet is for Rs 19,606
The 4 coupon booklet will be valid for sale from November 21 to March 31, 2013. Travel validity is six months from the date of issue and can be extended further for two months with a one-time fee of Rs 1000 on premier class booking and Rs 500 for a seat in economy class.
Jet Air is not the first airline to introduce the ticket coupon system, Air India has this system in place by which one can avail discounts. Kingfisher Air too had e-coupon system in place for customers to book tickets online.
However, a press statement issued by the airline does not speak of any discounts of additional services they will provide to customers who buy this booklet. Globally, ticket coupons are a common feature, but airlines issuing it do offer attractive schemes to lure customers.
A customer buying it just has to visit the airline counter at the airport and present his coupon to get a seat on a particular sector. Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer Jet said, "The airline has constantly endeavored to listen to guest requirements and create new and innovative products that enrich their travel experience."
